The Rock 106.9 WCCC parla con M. shadows

Per ricordare le vittime dell’11 settembre, la radio The Rock 106.9 WCCC ha parlato con Matt a proposito dell’anniversario e dei 10000 dollari di donazione che gli A7X assieme ad altre band dell’Uproar hanno fatto.

M SHADOWS: I think it’s an important date for Americans. It’s an important date especially over there on the East Coast and we want to remember our fallen brothers and sisters, the people who were killed in the 9/11 crashes and all the firefighters and everybody who helped out that day. I think it’s important that we remember them all. So we’re going to be playing on 9/11, we’re going to be donating money to a couple different causes and we want to do it respectfully. We don’t want to make it some huge spectacle or try to get press out of it. We’re hoping the fans and the people that come to the show can donate some money and we’re gonna donate as well with the Rockstar Energy Drink company and the Uproar festival so we’re going to match all the dollars that are donated by the fans and give them to good causes.
It’s the least we could do. We keep people aware of what happened on that important date and there’s a lot of heroes from that day and a lot of people lost their lives. It’s important that we remember those people.
I’m looking forward to seeing how this thing turns out. I know people are going through a hard time right now with the economy the way it is and everyone is kind of scrounging their pennies but it really is a good cause and there are people out there that really do need the help. Hopefully we can get this going and get at least $20,000 in there.

Penso che sia un appuntamento importante per gli americani. È una data importante soprattutto laggiù sulla costa orientale e vogliamo ricordare i nostri fratelli e sorelle caduti, le persone che sono state uccise negli scontri dell’11  Settembre e tutti i pompieri e tutti coloro che hanno aiutato quel giorno. Penso che sia importante che noi li ricordiamo tutti. Quindi suoneremo  l’11 settembre, stiamo donando soldi a un paio di cause diverse e vogliamo farlo rispettosamente. Non vogliamo fare un grande spettacolo o provare a tirarlo fuori. Speriamo che i fan e le persone che verranno allo show possano donare un po ‘di soldi e faremo anche una donazione con la compagnia Rockstar Energy Drink e il festival Uproar, quindi uniremo tutti i dollari che vengono donati da i fan e li daremo per delle buone cause. È il minimo che possiamo fare. Teniamo le persone consapevoli di quello che è successo in quella data importante e ci sono molti eroi da quel giorno e molte persone che hanno perso la vita. È importante ricordare quelle persone. Non vedo l’ora di vedere come si presenta questa cosa. So che le persone stanno attraversando un momento difficile in questo momento con l’economia così com’è e ognuno sembra sia in procinto di scroccare i loro penny ma è davvero una buona causa e ci sono persone là fuori che hanno davvero bisogno di aiuto. Spero che riusciremo a farcela e ad ottenere almeno $ 20.000.
